What type of music would you like at your wedding? I guess you have to figure out when and where you would like music and the style and feel you would like for your day.
Many couples are choosing live instrumental music at their ceremonies. For example string quartets, harpists and pianists. Now depending on where your ceremony is held, some churches have talented people
they recommend that can do this for you. If you are exchanging vows in outdoor locations or banquet halls this is usually something you will have to research and provide for yourself. Prices vary from vendor to vendor according to the amount of service you will require.
Cocktail hours have also become very trendy to include music. Some smaller group bands or even prerecorded music are popular for this hour or so leading into the reception.
Some couples like dinner music. Again this can be soft instrumental, prerecorded, or music provide by your banquet hall.
Party! that's the after dinner and speeches setting that most couples want. It's time to let loose, have some fun, forget about the past years planning and just celebrate!! There are many great DJ's and many great live bands in our region. They all are unique in their own way and each provide a number of different services. My suggestion is that you book someone you have seen performing! Go to events that they are hired for and listen. Get references and check them out. There is nothing worse then a terrible DJ or band to ruin the whole wedding. Entertainment is important and your guests want to party with you!!
